(Photo by Assawin Pakkawan)A bomb killed a policeman and injured four others in Songkhla's Chana district while gunmen shot dead two paramilitary rangers in Narathiwat's Bacho district on Sunday evening. The impact killed Pol Sen Sgt Maj Kosol Kongsawat instantly and injured Pol Lt Nipol Kaeonu, Pol Sen Sgt Maj Chamnan Sukmee, Pol Sen Sgt Maj Siri Thongthep and a woman. At 9pm, bomb experts combed the scene and the body of Pol Sen Sgt Maj Kosol was retrieved. In Narathiwat, two pillion riders on two motorcycles fired seven shots and killed paramilitary rangers Somchai Chernchompu and Muhamadsawan Masae on a road in Ban Buenae Peeyae of tambon Palu Kasamoh. The two paramilitary rangers were returning from a flea market where they bought food, and the attackers followed them.
